Dr. K S Upadhya discussed that this case highlights a patient with chronic cutaneous lichen planus who showed an inadequate response to conventional immunosuppressive therapy with cyclosporine. Following initiation of dupilumab, the patient experienced a rapid and sustained clinical improvement, with significant reduction in pruritus and complete regression of plantar lesions over the treatment period. The case underscores the potential role of dupilumab as a promising therapeutic option for refractory lichen planus, particularly in patients who fail to respond to standard treatment approaches.
